At Social Slides (collectively Google Docs Add-on and this website), we collect and manage user data according to the following Privacy Policy. This document is part of Social Slides’s Terms of Service, and by using Social Slides (the "Services"), you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service. Please read this privacy policy before using Add-on or submitting any personal information. By using this Add-on or any information therein you are accepting practices described in the privacy policy. Please note that the privacy policy below applies only to Social Slides website and Add-on. If you happen visit or submit data to any site linked from Website or Add-on, please review the privacy policy of those web sites before continuing. 

When you use Social Slides, we collect information relating to you and your use of our services from a variety of sources. These are listed below. The sections afterward describe what we do with this information. 

Information that we collect: 

Your slides and content are owned by you unless it is submitted for community use. Social Slides is used by design creators and their end customers.

We collect your email address when you install Social Slides add-on. Additionally, document identifier of Google Drive files where Social Slides is used may also be collected. 

To make it easier for you to share designs over social media, you may share designs using Social Slides third party integration (e.g., in which case Social Slides acts as a mere channel and does not collect any information.  

We will never share or sell email addresses to any third parties.   

Usage data. We collect usage data about you whenever you interact with our services. This may include which web pages you visit, what you click on, when you performed those actions, and so on. Additionally, like most websites today, our web servers may keep log files that record data each time a device accesses those servers. The log files contain data about the nature of each access, including originating IP addresses, internet service providers, the files viewed on our site (e.g., HTML pages, graphics, etc.), operating system versions, and timestamps. 

Device data. We collect data from the device and application you use to access our services, such as your IP address, operating system version, device type, system and performance information, and browser type. We may also infer your geographic location based on your IP address. 

Referral data. If you arrive at a Social Slides website from an external source (such as a link on another website or in an email), we record information about the source that referred you to us. 

Analytics. We use third party tracking services that employ cookies and analytics to collect aggregated and anonymized data about visitors to our services. This data includes usage and user statistics. 

Your responsibilities. By using our services, you agree to comply with applicable data protection requirements. 

By using our services, or clicking “I Agree”, or any clicking any other button on Social Slides website and Add-on, you expressly consent to this privacy policy.

You consent to the collection, use, disclosure and processing of your personal data in the manner described in this privacy policy, including our procedures relating to cookies, IP addresses and log files.

How we use collected information:

We use the information we collect from you in connection with providing our services to you.

We occasionally send you communications of a transactional nature (e.g. service-related announcements, billing-related matters, changes to our services or policies, a welcome email when you first install the add-on). You can’t opt out of these communications since they are required to provide our services to you.

Additionally, we may send you newsletter emails that we think may help you in your marketing and design endeavors. You can choose to unsubscribe from such informational emails.

To create new services or to improve existing services, features, or content and to provide customer service. We internally perform analysis on information we collect (including usage data, device data, referral data) to analyze and measure user behavior, to understand how customers use our services, and to monitor, troubleshoot and improve our services. We may use your information for internal purposes designed to keep our services secure and operational, such as for troubleshooting and testing purposes, and for service improvement, marketing, research and development purposes.

Sharing of data

Your information will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company for any reason whatsoever, without your consent, other than for the express purpose of delivering the purchased product or service requested.

We may disclose your information as required or permitted by law, or when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, subpoena, or other legal process served on us.

If the ownership of all or substantially all of our business changes, we may transfer your information to the new owner so that the Service can continue to operate. You acknowledge that such transfers may occur, and that any acquirer of Social Slides may continue to use your personal information as set forth in this policy. Your information will remain subject to clauses in this privacy policy until such a time as this privacy policy is amended by the acquiring party upon notice to you.

To the extent permitted by law, we will permanently delete your data if you request it. To cancel and delete your account, please contact Social Slides support team.

Security, cookies and other important information:

Social Slides will store and process your information in a manner consistent with industry security standards. Social Slides has implemented appropriate technical, organizational, and administrative systems, policies, and procedures designed to help ensure the security, integrity, and confidentiality of your Content and to mitigate the risk of unauthorized access to or use of your information.

Cookies. We and our partners use cookies and similar technologies on our websites. You can learn more about cookies here. Each cookie expires after a certain period of time, depending on what we use it for. Every time you use Add-on or any if it’s pages, we may use cookie for tracking information that includes but not limited to, software and devices used to access the Add-on, your service provider details etc. that may be shared with third party vendors including Google to serve the ads based on your prior visits to Website.

We, or our service providers and other third parties we work with, may place cookies when you visit our website and other websites or when you open emails that we send you, in order to provide you with more tailored marketing content (about our services or other services), and to evaluate whether this content is useful or effective. For instance, we may evaluate which ads are clicked on most often, and whether those clicks lead users to make better use of our tools, features and services. If you don’t want to receive ads that are tailored to you based on your anonymous online activity, you may “opt out” of many of the companies that are involved in such tailoring by going to Opting out in this way does not mean you will not receive any ads; it just means that you will not receive ads from such companies that have been tailored to you based on your activities and inferred preferences.

Google Analytics. In addition to the above, we have implemented on our websites and Add-ons certain Google Analytics features that support Display Advertising, including re-targeting. Visitors to our websites may opt out of certain types of Google Analytics tracking, customize the Google Display Network ads by using the Google Ad Preferences Manager and learn more about how Google serves ads by viewing its Customer Ads Help Center. If you do not wish to participate in Google Analytics, you may also download the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

You can choose to remove or disable cookies via your browser. Refer to your web browser’s configuration documentation to learn how to do this. Please note that doing this may adversely impact your ability to use our services.

We currently do not process or comply with any web browser’s “do not track” signal or other similar mechanism that indicates a request to disable online tracking of individual users who visit our websites or use our services.

Our services are not intended for and may not permissibly be used by individuals under the age of 13.

Changes to Privacy Policy

We may modify this privacy policy at any time, but if we do so, we will notify you by publishing the changes on this website. It is your responsibility to check these privacy policy periodically for changes. If you do not cancel your subscription and continue to use our services beyond the change date, you will be considered as having expressly consented to the changes in our privacy policy. If you disagree with the terms of this privacy policy or any updated privacy policy, you may close your account at any time.
